Program Overview
Program Components Family and Consumer Sciences education consists of three interrelated components:
- Consumer and Family Studies, a program which provides relevant education and leadership skills for personal and family living in finding balance and satisfaction in work, personal and family life;
- Family and Consumer Sciences Related Occupations, a program in which Students build upon their skills, knowledge and attitudes in order to Secure and advance in fulfilling careers - from entry level to upper management - that utilize the full range of their talents, and
- FCCLA, the co-curricular student organization which teaches leadership and citizenship skills to succeed in home economics related careers and personal life.
All three components work jointly to prepare students for advanced education and high-quality careers.
